The City Clerk will release in-person voting details soon.

Your first online voting opportunity will come on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Online voting will remain available each day until all voting closes at 8:00 p.m. sharp on Monday, October 26, 2026.

This fall, the City of Oshawa will send all eligible municipal electors a Voter Information Letter (VIL). Your VIL will include details on how you'll receive your personalized code to securely cast your secret ballot using a personal computer, tablet, or smartphone on or before Election Day.

If you do not receive a VIL, you may still be eligible to vote provided you are a Canadian citizen, have reached at least 18 years of age on or before Election Day, and normally reside in Oshawa or own property here. Permanent Residents and temporary visitors to Canada are not eligible to vote, even if they own or rent property in Oshawa.

If you haven't already checked or updated your municipal voter registration, please do so now. This is very important if you've recently moved to our city, changed addresses within Oshawa, or are a renter or student. Every election, thousands of eligible renters, students, and recent movers are missing from the Voters' List.

Please take a minute to ensure you're ready and registered to vote by checking your registration or signing up online at RegisterToVoteON.ca.

As always, eligible electors who are not on the Voters' List will still be able to register and cast their ballot at one of several in-person voting locations on Election Day. Full details are available at OshawaVotes.ca.
